Stonescapes

Stonescapes are pictures created with natural and recycled materials….. pebbles, driftwood, shells, pieces of metal and beach glass collected on walks along the beaches and hiking trails. Exploring the great outdoors in Newfoundland, Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and around the great lakes has given us the opportunity to collect the treasures that we have incorporated in our work.

Where do our ideas come from? Well, most of them come from experiences and emotions we all have …… falling in love, having and raising children, joyful reunions, sad partings….. and some of our ideas come from you. People often ask us to create a picture that has special meaning…. Just for them.

Your Stonescape comes framed in a locally made barn board frame. Prior to Covid and the unpredictable nature gatherings have on public safety, Stonescapes were sold at local craft shows in Ontario. This year will we be showcasing our pieces online through the Fair November virtual show. If you see something in our gallery here that you like, you may be able to order that picture directly…. And if it’s already gone, we can make you another one! We will have links to our website and Instagram page for updated stock.
